Bulgaria’s Prime Minister tendered his government’s resignation to Parliament on 14th of November. In the letter to the MPs, the Prime Minister says that the Council of Ministers will continue to perform its functions until a new government is formed and will provide continuity in the governance of the country.
The resignation comes hours after his party's candidate Tsetska Tsacheva, did not win the contest to become Bulgaria's next President. She was supported by 35% of the votes, while the socialist-backed candidate Rumen Radev received 59% of the votes and thus won the Presidential elections.
