At the World Economic Forum in Davos on 25th of January, Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov urged all sensible people and world organisations to unite in the name of peace and stability. In a series of bilateral meetings and discussions, he presented the country's vision of the future of Europe.
Bulgaria received exceptional attention at the Davos Forum, which brought together over 70 political leaders and nearly 3,000 VIPs from around the world. Prime Minister Boyko Borissov took part in a working meeting on the common future in a fractured world and in a discussion on the state of Europe.
In a series of bilateral meetings, he discussed the priorities of the Bulgarian EU Presidency. “One of the biggest events in the world at a time when the economy is on the rise, but that is not the case in political aspect” Borissov told BNT. Therefore, in his words, the forum in Davos, which brought together the entire political and economic elite of the world, comes at the right time.
As a high recognition for the work of the Bulgarian government, he pointed to the fact that this was the first Bulgarian Prime Minister's participation in the forum since 2005.
