Car tax rates go up in Sofia

Taxes for the oldest and for the most powerful cars in Sofia will go up from next year. The decision was made on December 30 by Sofia municipal council at the proposal of Sofia mayor, Yordanka Fandakova.

The main point for the car tax increase was to improve the air quality in Sofia. The decision envisages raised tax rates for cars that cause higher environmental pollution.
