The caretaker cabinet has referred to the Constitutional Court over the parliamentary decision requiring the Council of Ministers to submit a bill ratifying Bulgaria’s accession as a founding member of Donald Trump’s Board of Peace.
The government argues that the MPs’ decision contradicts the Constitution and violates the procedures for concluding international treaties. It has requested that the Constitutional Court initiate proceedings and rule on whether the 13 March parliamentary decision is unconstitutional.
