The newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 151 out of 8649 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on August 20 shows.
The latest cases were reported in the following districts: Blagoevgrad - 24; Bourgas - 3; Varna - 12; Vratsa – 3; Dobrich – 11; Kardzhali - 6; Kyustendil - 1; Lovech – 1; Pazardzhik - 7; Pernik - 1; Pleven – 3; Plovdiv - 19; Razgrad – 1; Rousse – 8; Silistra – 5; Smolyan - 5; Sofia district – 1; Sofia city - 19; Stara Zagora - 7; Haskovo – 2; Shoumen – 5; Yambol - 8.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 14820.
The active cases are 4362.
Of the total, 752 are in hospitals, 60 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the past 24 hours are 232, thus bringing the total recoveries to 9931.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 815, including 8 confirmed in the past 24 hours.
The total of fatalities rose to 527.
Eight Covid-19 associated deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.
