The newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 162 out of 3844 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on August 27 shows.
The following districts reported the largest number of new cases: Sofia – 28; Blagoevgrad - 22; Plovdiv – 13 and Pazardzhik 12.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 15,751.
The active cases are 4415.
Of the total, 741 are in hospitals, 60 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the past 24 hours are 149, thus bringing the total recoveries to 10,750.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 859, including 10 confirmed in the past 24 hours: 6 doctors; 2 nurses; 1 healthcare assistant and 1 other medical staff.
The total of fatalities rose to 586.
Fourteen Covid-19 associated deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.
