The newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 163 out of 5443 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on September 3 shows.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 16,617.
The active cases are 4209.
Of the total, 758 are in hospitals, 63 of them being in intensive care.
Six Covid-19 associated deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. The total of fatalities rose to 648.
The recoveries over the past 24 hours are 145, thus bringing the total recoveries to 11,760.
The largest number of newly confirmed cases was reported in the following districts: Sofia -33; Blagoevgrad - 29; Plovdiv – 21; Dobrich – 11; Bourgas – 9; Varna – 7; Stara Zagora – 8.
The total number of medical professionals who tested positive for the virus is 913. Of them 321 are doctors and 306 are nurses.
