The newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 169 out of 3667 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on August 19 shows.
The latest cases were reported in the following districts: Blagoevgrad - 28; Bourgas - 6; Varna - 18; Veliko Turnovo - 2; Vidin – 1; Gabrovo – 2; Dobrich – 11; Kardzhali - 6; Kyustendil - 1; Pazardzhik - 7; Pernik - 1; Pleven – 1; Plovdiv - 13; Rousse – 2; Sliven -6; Smolyan - 3; Sofia city - 33; Stara Zagora - 8; Haskovo – 10; Shoumen – 5.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 14669.
The active cases are 4451.
Of the total, 782 are in hospitals, 61 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the past 24 hours are 257, thus bringing the total recoveries to 9699.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 807, including 4 confirmed in the past 24 hours.
The total of fatalities rose to 519.
Seven Covid-19 associated deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.
