The newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 174 out of 5934 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on August 15 shows.
The latest cases were reported in the following districts: Blagoevgrad - 20; Bourgas - 4; Varna - 24; Veliko Turnovo - 3; Gabrovo - 1; Dobrich - 27; Kardzhali - 3; Kyustendil - 1; Pazardzhik - 8; Pernik - 2; Pleven - 1; Plovdiv - 22; Rousse - 5; Silistra - 3; Sliven - 2; Smolyan - 14; Sofia city - 13; Stara Zagora - 6; Shoumen - 14; Yambol - 1.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 14243.
The active cases are 4637.
Of the total, 811 are in hospitals, 58 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the past 24 hours are 213, thus bringing the total recoveries to 9114.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 791, including 11 confirmed in the past 24 hours: 4 doctors; 2 nurses; 2 healthcare assistants and 3 other medical staff.
Eight Covid-19 associated deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. The total of fatalities rose to 492.
