One hundred and seventy four new cases of coronavirus were lab-confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours from 923 PCR tests, the update on the national information system shows on July 7.
The latest cases were reported in the following regions: Blagoevgrad – 7; Varna - 17; Veliko Turnovo – 6; Dobrich – 1; Kardzhali – 3; Kyustendil – 2; Pazardzhik – 6; Pernik – 1;Plovdiv – 13; Sliven – 7; Smolyan – 1; Sofia district – 3; Sofia city – 86.
The total-lab-confirmed cases in the country to date are at 5914. The active cases are 2664.
The recoveries are 3000, including 85 over the past 24 hours.
Out of the total, 470 people are in hospitals, 29 of them in intensive care.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 456, including 8 registered over the past 24 hours: 3 doctors. 4 nurses and 1 health care assistant.
The deaths of people who had a positive test result for Covid-19 are 250. The daily number of Covid-19 associated deaths is 4 people: a 61 year old woman with pneumonia and no underlying health conditions; a 53 year old man with pneumonia and other ilnesses; a 76 year old man with chronic kidney and heart diseases; a 64 year old man with diabetes, kidney disease and heart condition.
