The newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 188 out of 6784 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on September 2 shows.
The latest cases were reported in the following districts: Blagoevgrad - 35; Bourgas - 26; Varna - 17; Gabrovo – 1; Dobrich - 4; Kardzhali – 1; Kyustendil – 2; Lovech – 1; Montana – 1;Pazardzhik – 12; Plovdiv - 13; Rousse – 8; Silistra – 10; Sliven – 2; Smolyan - 10; Sofia district – 1; Sofia city - 26; Stara Zagora - 9; Haskovo – 5; Shoumen – 1; Yambol - 1.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 16,454.
The active cases are 4197.
Of the total, 737 are in hospitals, 62 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the past 24 hours are 132, thus bringing the total recoveries to 11,615.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 901, including 11 confirmed in the past 24 hours: 4 doctors; 3 nurses; 2 healthcare assistant and 2 other medical staff.
The total of fatalities rose to 642.
Thirteen Covid-19 associated deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.
