The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 216 from 3,302 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on September 29.
The latest cases were reported in the following districts: Blagoevgrad – 8; Bourgas – 64; Varna – 11; Veliko Turnovo – 4; Vidin – 1; Vratsa – 7; Dobrich – 5; Kardzhali – 6; Kyustandil – 1; Lovech – 2; Montana - 1; Pazardzhik – 2; Plovdiv – 22; Sliven – 9; Smolyan – 3; Sofia city – 30; Stara Zagora – 15; Targovishte – 8; Haskovo – 2; Shoumen – 3; Yambol – 12.
The total cases confirmed in the country since the start of the epidemic rose to 20,271.
The active cases are 5,125.
Of the total, 780 patients are in hospitals, 42 of them being in intensive care.
The total recoveries are 14,339. Of them, 163 were registered over the past 24 hours.
The medical professionals who have tested positive for coronavirus are 1132, including 13 new cases over the past 24 hours: 6 doctors; 3 nurses; 3 healthcare assistants and 1 other medical staff.
Eleven Covid-19 related deaths were reported over the past 24 hours. The total stands at 807.
