Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 216 new cases, more than 2 million now vaccinated

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 216 from 15,749 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on July 29.

The trend of increasing number of daily cases continues.

Positivity rate is at 1.4%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 424,295.

The active cases are 7,702.

Of the total, 754 patients are in hospitals, 79 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 53 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 398,388

· 12,975 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 2,001,777

· 2 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 18,205.
