Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 253 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 253 from 6,501 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on May 31.

Test positivity rate is approximately 4%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,164,985.

The active cases are 76,901.

Of the total, 385 patients are in hospitals, 37 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 2,121 recoveries;

· 558 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

· 11 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 58,50% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 63,64% had not been vaccinated.

There were 55 new hospitalisations, of which 72,73% had not been vaccinated.
