The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 255 from 5,047 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on September 26.
The latest cases were reported in the following districts: Blagoevgrad – 31; Bourgas – 24; Varna – 11; Vidin – 1; Gabrovo – 14; Dobrich -2; Kardzhali – 8; Kyustendil – 1; Lovech – 3; Montana - 11; Pazardzhik – 7; Pleven – 3; Plovdiv – 12; Razgrad – 1; Rousse – 4; Silistra – 1; Sliven - 5; Smolyan – 11; Sofia district – 1; Sofia city – 47; Stara Zagora – 23; Targovishte – 10; Haskovo – 8; Shoumen – 3; Yambol – 13.
The total cases confirmed in the country since the start of the epidemic rose to 19,828.
The active cases are 4,907.
Of the total, 782 patients are in hospitals, 36 of them being in intensive care.
The total recoveries are 14,132. Of them, 119 were registered over the past 24 hours.
The medical professionals who have tested positive for coronavirus are 1111, including 16 new cases over the past 24 hours: 5 doctors; 6 nurses; 1 healthcare assistant and 4 other medical staff.
Four more Covid-19 related deaths were reported thus bringing the total to 789.
