Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 39 new cases, total since the start of the epidemic is 17,089

The newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria are 39 out of 1407 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on September 7 shows.

The largest number of newly confirmed cases was reported in the following districts: Sofia – 10 and Blagoevgrad – 11

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 17,089.

The active cases are 4256.

Of the total, 766 are in hospitals, 54 of them being in intensive care.

Five Covid-19 associated deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. The total of fatalities rose to 676.

The recoveries over the past 24 hours are 25. The total recoveries rose to 12,157.

The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 945, inlcuding 7 new over the past 24 hours: 4 doctors and 3 healthcare assistants.
