The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 44 from 1,249 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on September 21.
The percentage of the people infected with the virus is 3.5%.
The latest cases were reported in the following districts: Blagoevgrad – 8; Bourgas – 1; Varna – 1; Dobrich – 3; Montana - 8; Pazardzhik – 3; Plovdiv – 4; Smolyan – 5; Sofia city – 9; Stara Zagora – 1; Targovishte – 1.
The total cases confirmed in the country since the start of the epidemic rose to 18,863.
The active cases are 4,522.
Of the total, 718 patients are in hospitals, 35 of them being in serious condition.
The total recoveries are 13,580. Of them, 22 of registered over the past 24 hours.
Six more Covid-19 related deaths were reported thus bringing the total to 761.
