The newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 76 out of 4330 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on September 1 shows.
The latest cases were reported in the following districts: Blagoevgrad - 4; Bourgas - 2; Varna - 9; Veliko Turnovo – 1; Gabrovo – 1; Dobrich - 7; Kardzhali – 2; Pazardzhik -5; Plovdiv - 6; Rousse – 4; Silistra – 1; Sliven – 1; Smolyan - 2; Sofia district – 1; Sofia city - 11; Stara Zagora - 10; Haskovo – 3; Shoumen – 5; Yambol - 1.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 16,266.
The active cases are 4154.
Of the total, 727 are in hospitals, 65 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the past 24 hours are 170, thus bringing the total recoveries to 11,483.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 890, including 10 confirmed in the past 24 hours: 4 doctors; 3 nurses; 2 healthcare assistant and 4 other medical staff.
The total of fatalities rose to 629.
Sixteen Covid-19 associated deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.
