The newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 90 out of 2745 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on August 16 shows.
The latest cases were reported in the following districts: Blagoevgrad - 14; Bourgas - 2; Varna - 6; Veliko Turnovo - 4; Vidin – 1; Gabrovo - 2; Dobrich - 2; Kyustendil - 1; Pazardzhik - 2; Pernik - 2; Pleven - 8; Plovdiv - 12; Silistra - 8; Smolyan - 5; Sofia district – 2; Sofia city - 17; Targovishte – 1; Haskovo – 1.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 14333.
The active cases are 4677.
Of the total, 811 are in hospitals, 55 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the past 24 hours are 47, thus bringing the total recoveries to 9161.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 797, including 6 confirmed in the past 24 hours.
Three Covid-19 associated deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. The total of fatalities rose to 495.
