Coronavirus in Bulgaria: Daily cases rise to 1,047

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,047 from 22,979 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on August 14.

The largest number of covid-19 cases were registered in Sofia (211); Plovdiv (151) and Bourgas (101).

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 432,339

The active cases are 14,088.

Of the total, 1,404 patients are in hospitals, 124 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 164 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 399,919

· 10,481 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 2,149, 134

· 11 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 18,332.
