One hundred and eighty (180) new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours from 2591 tests, the update on the national information system shows on July 5.
The latest cases were reported in the following regions: Blagoevgrad – 3; Bourgas – 8; Varna -16; Veliko Turnovo – 16; Dobrich – 2; Kyustendil – 6; Pazardzhik – 9; Pleven – 8; Plovdiv – 11; Razgrad – 2; Rousse – 1; Sliven – 11;Smolyan – 5; Sofia district – 11; Sofia city – 58; Stara Zagora – 4; Targovishte – 1; Haskovo – 1; Shoumen – 5; Yambbol – 2.
The total-lab-confirmed cases in the country to date are at 5677. The active cases are 2538.
The recoveries are 2898, including 6 over the past 24 hours.
Out of the total, 463 people are in hospitals, 29 of them in intensive care.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 446.
The deaths of people who had a positive test result for Covid-19 are 241. The daily number of Covid-19 associated deaths is two people: a 70 year old woman with heart disease and diabetes and a 57 year old man with a heart condition and lung disease.
