Customs officers from the Directorate for Customs Intelligence and Investigation seized 15 240 litres of illegal energy product with smell of diesel, the Customs Agency said on February 17.
The fuel was discovered during a customs check in a real estate in the area of Byala Slatina on 11.02.2020.
Customs officers found a trailer from a tanker truck without registration numbers on the territory of the property. It was found to contain a total of 15 240 litres energy product with yellow colour.
A pump with a hose pipe was found as well.
No documents certifying the payment, accrual or security of the excise duty due have been provided for the energy product, which are required according to the provisions of the Excise Duty and Tax Warehouses Act. Samples were taken for laboratory analysis.
