Temperatures on July 28 reached 40° in Rousse, and 39° in Pleven, Lovech, Svishtov, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Sandanski and Gotse Delchev.
The sea breeze keeps the temperatures at the Bulgarian seaside lower.
Bulgaria issued “Code Orange” warning of dangerous weather for 21 districts for tomorrow, July 29, with temperatures in several places set to reach 40 degrees per Celsius and above.
“Code Orange” alert is in place for the following 21 districts: Plovdiv, Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech, Gabrovo, Veliko Turnovo, Rousse, Razgrad, Silistra, Turgovishte, Shoumen, Sliven, Stara Zagora, Yambol, Haskovo, Kurdzhali, Pazardzhik, Blagoevgrad and Kyustendil.
The remaining districts - Sofia, Sofia city, Smolyan, Bourgas, Varna and Dobrich. - are subject to “Code Yellow” warning of potentially dangerous hot weather.
