On day 47 of the anti-government protests (August 24), members of the public who are dissatisfied with the traffic blockades at crossroads in Sofia made an attempt to dismantle the tent camp outside Sofia University. Protesters described it as provocation.
A protester, Svettoslav Traykov said that the three men who tried to remove the tent camp were sent to destroy property of the protesters, to throw stones at them and fight against the peaceful protests.
Georgi Florov: "I am a citizen, like all of them, and I have the right to express my opinion." He is adamant that he did not show aggression and that no stones were thrown at the protesters.
Georgi Florov: "Of course not. There are cameras at the crossroads and all this will be seen and proven."
In the evening, a group of protesters set up tents outside the Council of Ministers.
About 21:00, as on previous days, the protesters went on the procession to Eagles’ Bridge.
