On day 48 of anti-government protests, August 25, the demands of the protesters remained unchanged: resignation of the government and the chief Prosecutor; early parliamentary elections and machine voting.
The torrential rain in Sofia damaged the tent camps. Despite that traffic blockades at three key crossroads in the capital remain in place: outside the Council of Ministers; at Sofia University and at Eagles’ Bridge.
This evening, the protesters piled fish outside the building of the Council of Ministers, saying that the "fish rots from the head down".

About 21:00, as on previous nights, the protesters went on procession to Eagles’ Bridge.
Dissatisfied members of the public continued to collect signatures in opposition to the blockades.
Anti-government protests were held in the cities of Varna, Rousse and Plovdiv.
