The 71st day of protests in Sofia passed calmly and without incidents.
The demands remain the same: resignation of the government and Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev.
On the facade of the Parliament, protesters projected old media statements of PM Borissov.
The protest started at 19:00 on September 17 in Independence square and shortly after that, traffic on Tsar Osvoboditel boulevard was blocked.
Protesting mothers of children with disabilities from “The System Kills Us” initiative were throwing plums and water bombs at the building of the Parliament. According to them, their rally was provoked by yesterday’s events in Parliament.
Later protesters were throwing eggs at the facade.
About 21:30, the demonstrators went on the procession to Eagles’ Bridge, blocking traffic at three key crossroads – at Rakovski street and Tsar Osvoboditel, then at Sofia University and then at Eagles’ Bridge.
