The demands of the protesters on day 75 (September 21) of protests in Sofia remain the same: resignation of the government and the Chief Prosecutor; introduction of machine voting at elections and changes to the Constitution.
As on previous days, the starting point of the protest was “Independence” square, outside the Council of Ministers in Sofia. Shortly after the start at 19:00, the traffic outside the building of Bulgarian National Bank was blocked by the bus carrying the sound equipment of the protest’s organisers from the so called “Poisonous Trio”.
This evening, the protest began with a special music video clip calling for the resignation of the cabinet. For another night in a row, on the facade of the Parliament building, there were projections of selected extracts of TV interviews with Prime Minister Boyko Borissov. After that the protesters threw eggs and apples at the building.
The procession passed along the central part of the city, reaching Eagles’ Bridge where the protesters temporarily blocked the crossroads.
