Flu epidemic is declared for the territory of Sofia-city as of 27th of January, Bulgaria’s Ministry of Health announced on 26th of January.
Visits in hospitals, prophylactic immunizations, consultations for children and pregnant women are suspended.
Following the guidelines of the heath authorities, schools will cancel classes as of Monday, 29th of January until the end of the week, 2nd of February. The schools will resume classes on 7th of February after the break between the two school terms.
Flu epidemics has also been declared in Sofia district and the districts of Yambol, Bourgas, Vidin, Stara Zagora, Gabrovo, Bobov Dol, Blagoevgrad and Dimitrovgrad.
459 schools across the country are closed due to the outbreak of the flu.
