Flu Outbreak Causes 142 Schools in Bulgaria to Cancel Classes

Classes are cancelled in 142 schools across Bulgaria over the outbreak of flu.

Student from 116 schools in the South Bulgarian district of Pazardzhik will not be going to school from 19^th to 23rd of January because many of them are sick and the schools shute down.

17 schools in Blagoevgrad district have cancelled classes until 24^th of January because of the flu epidemics.

3 schools in Vratsa, 1 in Varna and 4 in Plovdiv district are also closed.

Flu epidemics was declared in Blagoevgrad on 22^nd of January.

The largest number of people with influenza are in Pernik, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Gabrovo, Sofia-district, Rousse and Silistra

Restrictions are in place in hospitals as regards surgeries, visitors and consultations for children and pregnant women.
