Food and fuel prices in Bulgaria continue to rise, national statistics data for August show. Monthly inflation is 0.4% and annual inflation is 7.7%. Both indicators are calculated compared to the previous month and the previous year, respectively.
Fuels are among the commodities with the highest price increases.For August, the price of propane butane rose by 29.4%, diesel price by almost 9% and petrol by 6%.
The prices of cucumbers, cabbage, minced meat and yoghurt increased over the past month. However, seasonal fruits - watermelons and melons, carrots and beetroot, potatoes and cheese - became cheaper.
