In a video address on his Facebook page on July 4, former Prosecutor General, Ivan Geshev, announced that he is founding ‘Justice for Bulgaria’ movement.
His association will fight to "restore justice, crushed by the oligarchic model in recent years".
"The association will be civil, patriotic, based on Christian ethics and Bulgarian traditional family values. I believe that when my resignation (as prosecutor) is accepted, we will stand together with all those who share the concern for the future of Bulgaria, together in the name of our conservative values. True patriotism under the motto "God, Homeland, Family", Geshev said.
During a live broadcast on the social network, he also answered pre-asked questions from citizens. He said he was removed as Prosecutor General because of leakage of information concerning the Barcelonagate case.
"What stopped the Prosecutor's office arresting Borissov was his MP immunity," Geshev replied to a viewer's question.
