For a fourth day in a row on July 12, a protest was held in Sofia in defense of democracy and presidential institution. The protesters gathered outside the building of the Presidency at 17:00.
Around 18:00 the protesters walked to the building of the Council of Ministers.
After 19:00, the processions walked down to the Parliament, blocking the traffic at Eagles’ Bridge for 10 minutes.
Around 20:00, the procession walked down Evlogi Georgiev boulevard towards the National Palace of Culture.
The protesters were again calling for the government’s resignation.
Ilina Mutafchieva: We are protesting to have meaning to stay here in the country and have a normal life.
Georgi Zarpov: They are talking PM Borissov built motorways. Motorways that are being built. OK!. He is the builder of Bulgaria, but did he build a healthcare system? Did he build a judicial system?
Toncho Dimitrov: We do not want to be in the last place in terms of standard of living.
Marina Filipova: I want my children to live a free, not corrupt country, as it is at the moment.
After 21:00 the demonstrators gave their flags to the police officers.
The protest went peacefully, with no tensions and concluded as scheduled at around 23:30.
