Good Skiing Conditions in Bulgaria’s Winter Resorts

Yavor Karolev from the Mountain Rescue Service told BNT on 28^th of December that currently there are good skiing conditions in Bulgaria’s major winter resorts. Only Vitosha mountain ski resort, near Bulgaria’s capital Sofia, is not yet suitable for skiing.

The mountain rescue service warns that before hitting the mountain tourists should spend time planning and preparing for their time in the mountain. They advised skiers to set off early and get back home early, and to wear suitable warm clothes that prevent sweating.

They explained that there is a free-of-charge application for smartphones on the website of the mountain rescue service if tourists need to contact them.
