During Friday's parliamentary control on September 25, Health Minister Kostadin Angelov criticised some of the MPs who were not wearing masks in the hall.
"We should be the people who set an example to be followed by school students and everyone," Angelov said.
When asked about the PCR tests, Angelov said that from June 25 to September 21, some 370,573 PCR tests were conducted in Bulgaria.
Hospitals reported 16,673 tests for COVID-19 to the National Health Insurance Fund.
The health insurance fund has paid BGN 922,000 for tests performed since the beginning of the pandemic.
The education system is ready to conduct distance learning given the pace of the pandemic and in the events of a new wave of COVID-19, said the Minister of Education Krassimir Valchev.
It will be a problem if it is necessary to conduct learning in an entirely electronic environment, as currently 5% of students do not have access to the Internet, and another 5% do not have the necessary electronic devices. Some 70,000 children do not have the opportunity to study through distance learning.
Valchev reported that the Ministry of Education has provided 900 electronic devices, mainly for teachers, and further 1,000 intended for students have been received through donations. Some 60,000 mobile devices have been agreed, but delivery is delayed due to a public procurement.
He specified that currently only 0.4 percent of the classes are quarantined.
