Intense traffic on Bulgaria’s main roads is expected ahead of the Christmas holidays. Accroding to estimates, more than half a million people will leave the capital and about 120,000 are expected to travel abroad.
Road Infrastructure Agency informed that all repair works have been stopped to avoid traffic congestions. Traffic police teams will be working on all key roads.
On 22nd and 27th of December, restrictions will be introduced for the movement of lorries weighing over 12 tonnes on motorways and the busiest roads.
The Bulgarian Railway Company will provide additional 18,200 seats during the Christmas holidays and around New Year.
