Bulgaria’s Supreme Judicial Council on October 24 holds a hearing of Ivan Geshev as candidate for the post of Chief Prosecutor.
The sitting was opened at 10.00 by the Minister of Justice Danail Kirilov.
The procedure for election of Chief Prosecutor was opened on 15 July 2019.
The vote on his nomination takes place amid a series of protests in Sofia – one against and one in support of the election of Ivan Geshev as Chief Prosecutor.
