According to Kostadinov, whether there will be a government depends on two things: "how active and persuasive the US Ambassador will be, and whether GERB-UDF and We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria will be inclined "to ignore his command."
In his words, a possible coalition between GERB-UDF and WCC-DB would lead to an outflow of voters and a quick disintegration of parliament.
"The formation of a cabinet between them would cause very serious internal turmoil in the two coalitions, whose electorates cannot imagine such a peaceful co-existence, let alone a coalition."
Who the president hands the third government-forming mandate to is his personal choice, but "Vazrazhdane" are ready with a government line-up if the mandate goes to them.
"We are not putting red dividing lines, we are putting what the Bulgarian voters who voted for “Vazrazhdane” have told us. We do not take into account foreign ambassadors and foundations and we cannot betray the voters of "Vazrazhdane". You asked me who is the big winner of the elections, I will tell you who is the big loser - the Bulgarian people. More than 60% once again did not go to vote," he said.
