A serious road accident in Kresna Gorge caused temporary suspension of traffic on December 9. The accident occurred shortly before 9am on the main E-79 road at the turn for Stara Kresna and Oshtava villages. Three TIR lorries and a car crashed. The driver was injured.
He was admitted to the hospital in the town of Sandanski, Southern Bulgaria. The 44-year-old driver suffered minor injuries, without any risk for his life.
Traffic was temporarily stopped for 3 hours. Currently, traffic is being restored in one lane.
