Dry grass and bushes are burning near the village of Buchino in Blagoevgrad distict, Southern Bulgaria. The wildfire started at about 14:00 on August 2 and has spread on several decares of land in the region.
Several fire engines arrived on site. Residents from the village are helping to suppress the fire by using heavy-duty equipment to make clearings. Due to the wind, the fire often changes the direction. For the time being the fire is burning 2-3 km away from the nearest houses in the village. There is a wheat storage facility nearby.
