Lukoil oil refinery in Bourgas will be fined over unpleasant smells

The Regional Eco-Inspection in Bourgas will fine Lukoil oil refinery for unpleasant smells that was felt last night (December 10) in the seaside city.

The inspectors carried out an immediate check after receiving alerts from members of the public on the emergency hotline 112. No air pollution was identified. The amount of the fine with which the oil refinery will be sanctioned has not yet been specified. In case of such violations the sanction can reach up to BGN 500,000.
