Bulgaria’s President, Roumen Radev, convened the Consultative Council for National Security (CCNS) at 10:30 a.m. on January 9th.
The topic of the meeting is "The Role of the Republic of Bulgaria for the Development of the Common Security and Defence Policy of the EU in the Context of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2018 ".
Security is among the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union over the next six months. Bulgaria took over the rotating presidency earlier this year.
President Radev is expected to give a media briefing after the end of the meeting.
