The occupancy of hospital beds increased from 10% to 11%, as well as of beds in intensive care units - from 4% to 4.8%. This was announced by the Minister of Health Prof. Kostadin Angelov on October 5.
According to him, these figures, at the moment, give reasons not to change the anti-epidemic measures in Bulgaria.
Talks with the Ministry of Finance continue regarding the macro framework for next year, the Minister of Health announced.
We are looking for sustainability of all those increases in the salaries of employees who were on the front line and it will be provided. Additional financial resources will also be provided for the medical emergency departments, additional financial resources for the wards for mentally ill patients, the wards for treatment of patients with non-specific lung diseases, the wards for treatment of patients with coronavirus infection, commented Prof. Angelov.
"Additional financial resources will be allocated under Ordinance 3, aimed specifically at municipal hospitals, ie the percentage of the increase in funds for municipal hospitals from August 1 this year will be maintained the same next year," said the Minister.
