Ministry of the Economy presents the first interactive map of the Bulgarian industry

The first interactive map of the Bulgarian industry is now available online. The project was developed by the Ministry of Economy and the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises, in partnership with the Bulgarian Employers' Association "Innovative Technologies".

The project will be useful for both Bulgarian companies and foreign investors, said Minister of the Economy, Lachezar Borissov, at the presentation of the map on September 10.

He stressed that it includes 14 industries, including education. So this we will be able to achieve synergies between investors, business and education, he said.

During the event, Minister Borissov stressed that the process is open, as it is working on the basis of statistical and other available information in the commercial register. According to him, it is very important to achieve synergy at the cluster level - unified and more easily accessible and systematized information for consumers and investors. The information will be interactive for continuous updating to unite businesses at the cluster and industry level.

During the opening, Minister Borissov said that the two-week report would be published on the website of the Ministry of Economy tomorrow. According to him, work on the anti-crisis measures is being accelerated by the end of this week. We will have already evaluated 19,000 projects under the procedure for micro-enterprises, he added and stressed that intensive work is being done on the allocation of funds in the form of loans through BDB.

In conclusion, the Minister of the Economy stressed that the harmonisation of cluster policies will work towards improving economic development in partnership with the government and state institutions. "The Ministry of the Economy appreciates this important step because it is extremely important at this time and in this unprecedented crisis we are facing," he said.
