More than 1,500 public schools in Bulgaria will be renovated under the operational programmes “Regional Development” and “Regions in Growth”, Bulgaria’s Minister of Regional Development and Public works, Lilyana Pavlova, said on 11th of April at the ceremony for the signing of the agreement for reconstruction and modernization of the National School of Arts "Dobri Hristov" in the Black Sea coastal city of Varna.
The agreement was signed by the Deputy Minister Denitsa Nikolova, the head of the managing authority for the “Regional Development” OP and the Minister of Culture, Vezhdi Rashidov.
Minister Pavlova said that signing of the first agreement gave the official start of the programme. She explained that under the new programme, the schools’ buildings would be renovated entirely, not just the exterior and added that some equipment for the class rooms was envisaged.
