A multi-vehicle collision on Hemus Motorway in Topli Dol tunnel caused traffic disruption on 23rd of January. Traffic in the direction towards Sofia was partially closed. Shortly before 9 o’clock, two cars crashed into a stopped vehicle of the Road Assistance service.
A drugged driver could not stop and hit the vehicle of the Road Assistance, which was stopped. After that, a four wheel drive crashed into the two vehicles, BNT reporter Alexander Markov said.
Six people were injured, two were taken to hospital. A passenger from the car of the driver who caused the accident had also used narcotic substances – heroin. Six syringes were found in the car.
Traffic was temporarily diverted in the overtaking lane.
