Bulgaria’s Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Dentisa Sacheva, on June 8 said that a new measure of the government for dealing with unemployment will be opened.
Some 160 million BGN will be allocated aimed at reducing the number of people who became unemployed during the coronavirus crisis.
The measure is under “Human Resources Development” operational programme. People will be hired at work at the minimum wage and their social security and health insurance contributions will be paid, she said.
The social minister reminded that before the coronavirus state of emergency was introduced, the number of unemployed in the country was 200,000 people and added that currently the number went up by further 90,000 unemployed.
