A sanitary check within the site of Kalofer hotel has not discovered any risk of Legionnaires' disease.
Experts of the Ministry of Tourism, the Health Inspection in the city of Burgas as well as representatives of Nessebar Municipality have made a detailed sanitary inspection at Kalofer Hotel in the seaside resort of Sunny Beach. This sanitary check is the respond to recent British media reports that an English tourist had been infected with the so called Legionnaires' disease while staying at the same hotel in June.
Inspectors have concluded that all the documents and licenses of tourist activity within the hotel are irreproachable and conditions of accommodation fully meet the requirements of its category. Health experts have not found any irregularities in the pools, the bathrooms or the kitchens of the food serving places on the hotel site. The samples taken in the beginning of July have as well proved to be negative of the Legionella bacteria.
Employees of the tourism sector in Bulgaria complain of some British guests who having finished their vacation in this country are often seeking reimbursements and demanding compensations through various groundless service claims.
