Tourism on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast in October. Against the background of the collapse during the active season this summer, this month surprised the hoteliers with more guests than usual.
Many Bulgarian and Romanian tourists have already booked vacations by the sea until the end of the month. Intensive preparations for the autumn and winter seasons are already underway in the hotels on the North Black Sea coast.
According to Albena Yordanova, manager of a hotel in the St. St. Konstantine and Elena resort, the unusually strong tourist interest in the seaside in October is due to the forecast for a warm and sunny autumn.
"September surprised us with good occupancy and fortunately the reservations for the first half of October continue to follow a positive trend," she commented.
Currently, mainly Bulgarian and Romanian tourists come for holidays at the North Black Sea coast.
"They prefer a short break for a weekend or for small events," adds Yordanova.
"They recommended the hotel as a place where I can do my rehabilitation and combine it with rest," commented tourist Stanimira Zlateva.
The long-awaited programs for medical and spa tourism with the health insurance funds of Belgium and Germany have already started.
"Perhaps the effect and more tourists who will want to use these services will be felt next spring and next summer season," said Albena Yordanova.
Many hotels by the sea now offer Christmas and New Year packages at preferential prices. Albena resort is already preparing for the next summer season, and the hotels, which remained closed this year, also offer holidays.
At the moment, the online bookings for a holiday in "Albena" for next summer give hope for a better season.
