The outsourcing sector continues to be among the most dynamic and fast developing businesses in Bulgaria, marking sustainable growth in the recent years and forming more than 3% of the country’s GDP. According to the sector association, more than 15,000 Bulgarians work in the outsourcing sector and 90% of them are in Sofia. Despite that, there is a demand of 2,000 more people, to which highly paid jobs can be provided.
The director of a leading global supplier of outsourcing processes Bert Quintana says that the main trend is increasingly expanding sector.
There are more and more new ways for interaction between the brand and the customers, including by telephone, various forms of chat, social media networks etc. We are expanding in Bulgaria as well and the proof is that in October Sofia will be the host of the annual conference of the European Outsourcing Association, he said.
According to Quintana, higher education and exceptionally good language skills are the key advantages of the Bulgarians and this is the main reason Bulgaria is attractive as outsourcing destination.
In addition, he says that there are good conditions for doing business in Bulgaria, fast internet, lower rates of rents for commercial spaces. We constantly expand out activities in Bulgaria, he added.
His company already has hired over 1,000 employees in the centres in Sofia and Varna and expands by 7% on annual basis. He believes that Bulgaria is a unique country not only because of the beautiful nature, but because it has intelligent people who are looking for continuous development.
