Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov congratulated newly appointed Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz on January 7. In his message to Kurz, Prime Minister Borissov stressed the excellent bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Austria and the active political dialogue at all levels.
"Austria is traditionally an important political and economic partner of Bulgaria. Our two countries are developing constructive cooperation and have close positions on a number of important issues from the agenda of the European Union", the Bulgarian Prime Minister noted.
Prime Minister Borissov is confident that within the second term of Sebastian Kurz as Federal Chancellor, Bulgaria and Austria will continue to build on their friendly relations and work together on a number of topics, including the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
